Maj Gen Firoz Hasan ndu psc LPR
Major General Firoz Hasan ndu, psc served in Bangladesh Army for about 36 years and went on LPR on 31 December 2019. In his illustrious career, he served in Command, Staff and Instructional appointments of significant importance. He commanded two Infantry Battalions, two Infantry Brigades and one Infantry Division as General Officer Commanding. General Firoz was General Staff Officer–3 (Operations) and Brigade Major of an Operation Brigade in Chittagong Hill Tract, General Staff Officer–2, Military Operations Directorate at Army Headquarters, and Private Secretary to Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army. He was Instructor Class–B, at School of Military Intelligence and Commandant of School of Infantry and Tactics.
General Firoz served under United Nations for two tenors. Firstly he served as Operations Officer of Bangladesh Battalion-2 in Iraq-Kuwait border under UNIKOM; and secondly, as Sector Commander/Chief Operations Officer, in Georgia under UNAMIG. He also accomplished his assignment as Defence Atteche in Bangladesh Mission at Beijing. In his colorful career he was also entrusted to lead the Organization like Sena Kallyan Sangstha (SKS) as Chairman for last four years of service; where he proved his worth by achieving the highest profit in the history of SKS.
General Firoz loves his country-‘Bangladesh’ and devoted his every effort for the betterment of the country. Even after retirement from the Armed Forces he wanted to continue his work for the country. He realized the negative effect / impact of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and how it is polluting our environment every day and if not arrested immediately may bring bigger disaster in the future. As such he planned to contribute in this field by joining Waste Technologies LLC (WTL).
General Firoz is a highly travelled person and visited over 30 countries around the globe. He is happily married with Mrs Rabaca Hasan and having a son and a daughter in his family
